■ HOW WE THINK

Most homes already have half of it.

Candles, matches, pasta and tinned food are in most people's cupboards. What's usually missing when the power goes out is something else: a radio that works without mains power or the mobile network, a way to cook hot food, light for everyone in the house and something to store water in.

01

We pack what's hard to get right

The gear you won't find at the supermarket: radio, camping stove, headlamps, first aid kit and water jugs. All in one box.

02

You top up with what you already buy

Water and everyday food are cheapest to buy yourself, and you know best what your family eats. The product pages show how much you need for a week.

03

Everything in one place

One 60-litre box in the shed, basement or hallway. When the lights go out, everyone knows where the gear is.

■ PREPAREDNESS WEEK · 26 OCT–1 NOV 2026

When the network is down, the radio still works.

This year's preparedness week is about getting important information when the mobile network and internet are down. DSB recommends a battery-powered DAB radio. Standard and Large include emergency radios with DAB and FM that work without mains power.

■ WHO WE ARE

We make it easier to get started with emergency preparedness at home.

Hurtig Beredskap is based in Tønsberg, Norway, and was started by people with backgrounds in e-commerce, software and operations. We put the kits together following DSB's advice on coping on your own for one week – and we show both what's included and what isn't.

— We show what you need to add yourself.

— We list every item in the kit, with quantities.

— Questions? Email info@hurtigberedskap.no.

■ QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

What people ask before they order.

No answer here? Email info@hurtigberedskap.no and we'll get back to you.

Are the kits approved by DSB?

No – and no kits are. DSB doesn't approve products, but it does advise what households should have. Our kits are put together according to that advice, and each product page shows what the kit covers and what you need to add yourself.

Which kit is right for us?

Mini is basic gear for one person, without a radio or camping stove. Standard adds an emergency radio, a camping stove and lights for two, but no food. Large also includes food for one person for seven days, a power bank and water jugs holding 45 litres.

How much water do we need?

DSB recommends about 20 litres of drinking water per person for one week. You fill the jugs in our kits from the tap. A family of four needs about 80 litres.

How long does delivery take?

We ship within 1–2 business days, and delivery usually takes 3–5 business days. Shipping is free and every parcel can be tracked.

Can I change my mind after buying?

Yes. You have 14 days to cancel, counted from the day you receive your order. Just email info@hurtigberedskap.no. You pay the return shipping, unless the item is faulty or damaged.
